The brief
NovaDash had grown from twenty customers to two thousand in eighteen months. The dashboard their first designer built worked beautifully for a starting point — and badly for a product with eight modules, role-based permissions, and customers who spent six hours a day in it.
What we did
We rebuilt the IA from the ground up around three primary jobs the data showed us users actually had. Then we shipped a full design system in Figma — tokens, components, patterns — and rewrote the front end module by module behind a feature flag, so the team could roll it out to cohorts of customers without a big-bang launch.
Results
- Time-to-first-insight (a key activation metric) down 42%.
- Support tickets about navigation down 67% in the quarter after rollout.
- The product team now ships new modules in half the time — the system does the heavy lifting.
- A clear visual identity that finally matches the product's ambition.
What's next
We're now an ongoing partner for the product team — running quarterly UX audits and helping ship the next two modules.
